Khodrocar - Numbers are all around us – whether we're breaking down the performance of a Ferrari 488, or comparing the price of a Model S to a Mercedes. Every week we pick out a few numbers that are so significant we have to give them a second look. Today we’re looking at key figures from Aston Martin, McLaren, Ford, and Subaru.
The weight loss, in pounds, of the new Aston Martin Vantage. The car has a new look inside and out, as well as a new chassis and a new biturbocharged V8 engine good for 503 horsepower – and a top speed of 195 miles per hour.
The number of McLaren P1 "Experimental Prototypes” built – and now you can buy one. With just 300 miles on the odometer, it’s listed for sale in the U.K. and could be a great addition to a lucky buyer’s collection.
Rows of seats in the Subaru Ascent, which the automaker will introduce at the Los Angeles Auto Show. Based on the teaser photo, it appears to be an enlarged Forester, with a softer look than the chiseled, butch design we saw on the Ascent concept earlier this year.
The trap speed, in miles per hour, of a McLaren 720S that hit a quarter-mile track in New Jersey. The supercar, which is apparently still factory-stock, completed the quarter mile in just 9.7 seconds – apparently making it quicker than even McLaren’s own P1 hypercar.
