Chevrolet Corvette will most likely take place the Detroit Auto Show that opens on 14 January 2018 to coincide with the Corvette’s 65th anniversary.
Khodrocar reports, Although the company has chosen to remain tightlipped on the new mid-engine Corvette, we believe that the vehicle might be powered by a 4.0-litre V8 engine mated to a dual clutch transmission. The current seventh generation model with a front engine is powered by a 6.2-litre supercharged V8 engine that generates 641bhp of power and 650Nm of torque.

The current generation model is available in coupe and convertible body form and is available in seven-speed manual and eight-speed automatic with paddle shifter. The new model with a mid-engine section gets a shorter hood while the tail appears slightly longer.

After launch, the 2018 Chevrolet Corvette will compete against the likes of Ferrari, Lamborghini, and Mclaren. The new model is also expected to get an improved set of electronics and safety features in comparison to its predecessors. Additional details on the technology and pricing aspect will be known over the next few months.
