Difficulties of Renault’s Contract Execution

KhodroCar – the Renault contract’s draft singed in the October 2016 in Paris. But the final contract signed in the August 2017 after Naseh holding joined the contract with 20 percent share. Although, it has not been executed since 5 months ago.

"Ben Ro” construction site was supposed to be IDRO’s share for the contract, but former chairman of Saipa, Mehdi Jamali didn’t give the construction site up.

After Mehdi Jamali replaced with Mohsen Ghasemi Jahroodi, every one thought that SAIPA will give the construction site to the Renault’s joint venture contract which is the biggest foreign investment in Iran’s auto industry, according to the CEO of IDRO. However, it is not happening yet while jahroodi said” we are following IDRO’s decision in this matter”. however, he didn’t answer clearly in response to questions of "do you give the "Ben to” to Renault?”

According to the latest news, it seems that "Ben ro” construction site won’t be part of the contract due to high price which set by SAIPA and other difficulties. Meanwhile, there is no other option, consider to replace "Ben ro” yet.

Last Wednesday, the ministry of industry, mine and trade was hosting a meeting about the final decisions on this matter and it seems that they still talk about the "Ben ro” as the main option. As it seems, the execution process of Renault’s contract is going to be as long as the signing process and no one is talking about it clearly.
