It looks like Aston Martin is giving the new model a thorough workout.
Khodrocar - Recently we caught Aston Martin rolling with a yellow-camouflaged version of the new Vantage on public roads, testing in the rain with a weird sensory-type thing on the roof. Today we see it in what many might say is its natural environment – lapping the Nurburgring in dry conditions, free of external space antennas and wearing what appears to be some aggressive rubber.

As previously reported, this new Vantage will likely be utilizing power from Mercedes-AMG with a 4.0-liter biturbo V8 underhood, which should generate up to 503 horsepower and 512 pound-feet of twist. Through the magic of renderings, we’ve also had a taste of what this car might look like with the seizure-inducing patterns removed, and there’s an undeniable connection to James Bond’s DB10 from the film Spectre. Even without computer-generated help we can see the similarities in the overall design, especially in the front clip and headlights.

The structure itself is also said to have undergone quite a few changes, with plenty of aluminum infused to reduce weight while adding horsepower. Such a combination would certainly give the new V8 Vantage a significant performance boost over the current model, which already runs to 62 mph (0-100 kph) in just under five seconds. Could the upgrades get the new car under four seconds?

If it doesn’t, the V12 variant which is expected later on most certainly will. In either case, our questions should be answered by the end of the year. Aston Martin has said the new Vantage will officially appear before the end of 2017, and with just a few months to go, the waiting game is almost over.
