Sport Utility Vehicles known as SUVs have always been popular due to their capabilities. Although there has been rumors regarding that their production will soon come to an end.
Khodrocar reporter says: almost a decade ago, back in 2006, the production of the biggest, most capable and powerful SUV ever, the Hummer H1 from GM subsidiaries came to a halt due to high fuel consumption, high price and low sales volume so that the two other smaller models, the H2 and H3 could replace it until 2009 when the whole brand was defunct.

There were rumors back then that soon there will be no SUV produced on earth. Some major sudden changes happened all together making the mob to suppose so. The great fall of real off roader SUV’s sales volume, drastic change in people’s taste of car selection and numerous appetite for more exciting smaller Cross Overs as a two side play card to replace personal sedans and the reappearance of Turbocharged forced induced small displacement engines that almost totally eradicated the need for huge displacement atmospheric engines.

No surprise why some people thought now it would be the end of the road for SUVs. Yet it was still clears the SUV segment is nothing that could be taken for granted and let go so easy, all of a sudden. It is indeed a highly capable, powerful all terrain segment that even draw more attention after 2010 than before. Cross Overs are now so welcome that the experts believe in the near future there would be a huge transition in the sales figures between Cross Overs and Sedans, even kicking sedans away if looking optimistic.

Through the past three years we are witnessing Hi-Tech electric and hybrid powered vehicles revealed on daily basis showing even more astonishing capabilities than the day before all because of the great leap forward in electricity based technologies represented every day. Model X Tesla sets a very good example and the main reason why some people rethought the idea of waking up the mammoths that gone asleep once because of huge appetite for fossil fuels.

Recently a pioneer Austrian company known as the Kreisel Electric revealed an electric derived red Hummer H1 with presence of the great man behind Hummer brand and all its projects, the great politician and the collection owner of various Hummers, Arnold Schwarzenegger.

Kreisel Electric Hummer H1 uses two electric motors with AWD total power of 360 KW (480 HP) derived from a 100KW battery pack giving this 3.3 tons beast an approximate range of 300 kilometers with a top speed of 120 KM/H, just to prove that the all-electric future of the automotive industry still holds SUV segment right within, where it gives joy of ride to its off road enthusiasts through clean electric power.
