Fiat Chrysler Trademarks 'Angel' Fot Passenger Cars, But We're Not Sure Why
It looks like Fiat Chrysler filed for a trademark on the name "Angel” last month, for, as they explained to the United States Patent and Trademark Office, "motor vehicles, namely, passenger automobiles, their structural parts, trim and badges.” With the Dodge Challenger SRT Demon getting prepped to hit drag strips in owner's hands, it leaves us to wonder where this anti-Demon will fall.

The easy answer is that Angel will be the name of an auto show special display vehicle — or the company filed for the trademark just so no one else would. It could also be the name for a Demon-esque Charger or a two-door Chrysler-badged drag racer.

The Angel moniker might even branch away from low quarter-mile times and be a four-cylinder hybrid variant of the Challenger. Or the name could stray away from sedans entirely and find a home with Chrysler’s latest minivan — the Pacifica.

We hope the Angel is an even wilder Challenger variant, but we’re interested in seeing where Chrysler goes with this new name.
