Stiffer springs and quicker steering brings the 570GT nearly up to 570S levels.
KhodroCar - Buyers in the market for a sporty McLaren now have a few more options to choose from. The McLaren 570GT has been tweaked for 2018, gaining five new Design Edition packs, and a performance-oriented Sport Pack. The latter takes everything that’s good about the 570S, and tacks it on to the more amenable GT model.

Carbon ceramic brakes now come standard on every 570GT, which were previously an option. If you check the box for the £4,900 (approx. $6,600) Sport Pack, you also get added sporty elements like stiffer springs, a quicker steering rack, updated stability control settings, new damper software, and hybrid road/track Pirelli P Zero Corsa tires, in place of the usual P Zeros. The optional electrochromic tinted roof is also a nice touch.


All told, the 570GT with the Sport Pack equipped is now 15 percent stiffer in the front than the standard model, 10 percent stiffer in the rear, and comes with steering that’s about two percent quicker. McLaren estimates that around 60 percent of 570GT customers will opt for the Sport Pack.


But if sporty isn't your thing, you could instead opt for one five Design Edition Packs that will also be available on the 570GT. These new kits combine popular exterior colors with a complimentary By McLaren luxury design interiors; the pacakge actually comes out to be cheaper than if you were to add the interior as an option on a standard model. The new 570GT Design Editions are:

    Silica White exterior with Saddle Tan and Carbon Black interior
    Pacific Blue with Jet Black and Areia (cream)
    Blade Silver with Natural Tan and Carbon Black
    Fire Black with Jet Black and Areia
    Storm Grey with Jet Black and Almond White.


No matter which of the packages you do decide, the 570GT is still powerful. Under its hood, the McLaren is equipped with its same 3.8-liter biturbo V8 delivering 562 horsepower (419 kilowatts) and 443 pound-feet (600 Newton-meters) of torque. The 570GT starts at £157,000 in the U.K., now word on U.S. pricing for the updated version just yet.
